ScopeDomeUSB driver is an universal microprocessor system which controls the astronomical observatory. It is designed to control both types of amateur astronomical observatories – roll off roof and the domes as well.
It allows independent manual or automatic control of the dome’s movement. Using an USB port it cooperates with the program installed on PC class computer which automatically synchronizes the work of the dome with any standard telescope supported by ASCOM.
The driver allows to control revolution direction by two AC motors. One of them turns the dome, the other opens or closes the observatory’s shutter. Both engines are connected with the switches, which limit the movement of elements. In addition, the driver is equipped with four relays that can be used to power to any devices in the observatory, for example: the telescope, CCD camera, lighting and ventilation.
An optional equipment of the driver is remote control, which guides the dome or the sliding roof. It allows you to open or close the observatory’s flap and manual controll the dome’s revolution.
