Thanks to collaboration with weather stations and cloudness sensors, the program can
automatically close the dome if the weather conditions may damage it or the equipment installed
inside the observatory. The protection mode used against weather conditions can be activated by
selecting "Shutter Weather Protect" in the Config> Weather window. In Sync Dome With Wind
mode, the dome will be automatically set up in the best position in relation to the wind direction -
that is in frontal position.
The weather state is automatically taken from the weather stations with intervals given in the
Config> Weather> Weather Scan Interval window. Weather information can be updated at any
time by clicking on the weather icon on the main screen of the Dome State panel.
Dome is closed up and its opening is blocked when:
1. weather station measures the strong wind (Hi Wind Speed parameter in the Config> Weather)
2. cloud sensor detects that it is raining
3. cloud sensor detects a high cloudness.
On the Weather SkyView panel an image from the camera that monits the sky can be displayed.
If you do not have the weather station and cloudiness sensor you should check None value in the
Config > Weather window in the Weather Station Type and Cloud Sensor Station Type box.
