Weather screen is used to display information about the weather conditions outside the dome.
The program supports the following weather stations:
- controlled by Heavy Weather
- Boltwood Cloud Sensor
- AAG CloudWather
- CCTV ScopeDome Cloud Sensor.
SkyView panel displays the last image from CCTV camera’s cloud sensor.
Cloud Sensor panel displays graphical information about the cloudiness, taken from the Cloud
Sensor selected during the program configuration. There are four cloudiness’ states:
- Clear sky
- Partial cloudiness
- Cloudy sky
- Unknown
Scope Sync with wind button is used to synchronize the position of the dome with
the wind’s
direction. When it is pressed, the dome is set facing the wind.
Weather Station panel displays the meteorological data from the weather station.
Weather Sensor Status panel displays information taken from the cloudiness sensor (eg
Boltwood Cloud Sensor), and provides summary information about the weather conditions.
The weather’s state (good or bad) is used by Weather
Protect Shutter function. Accordingly the
program determines the possibility of opening the dome at the moment. If the dome is already
open and the weather changes from good to bad (cloudiness is getting bigger, starts raining or
wind becomes stronger), the program, by Weather Protect Shutter function on will automatically
close the dome.
In the case of strong wind and if the dome is in STOP mode, the software will switch its mode to
Sync With Wind mode and the dome will be set to face the wind.
